IULIA IULIA CAESARIS CYTHERIS AEGE

                   NOVA ROMA - Ludi Victoriae 2759 a.U.c

So long ago you have slain me

With your burning desires

As if I were an unholy illusion

Running alone and damned

Through the sepulchral fields,

Wilde and not yet guilty of

Making your heart tremble.

Your noble eye guarded the shadows

As in my sleep I touched the earth

And carved into the moonlight rays

The undreamed contours of my fate.

As the trees silently held time from its passing,

You have embraced me with your golden voice

And let to fall upon me

The sweet burden of your kiss.

Some days the wind is howling

Through my soul again,

And the shimmering blue springs enflame

These two eyes that seek to see you yet again,

To rest within the marbled home, where,

So long ago, as your mistress,

I welcomed the Gods of the Night,

And was on your shield

An enrapturing victory among all the fights.
